Photocatalysis over N-Doped TiO2 Driven by Visible Light for Pb(II) Removal from Aqueous Media

The photocatalysis process over N-doped TiO2 under visible light is examined for Pb(II) removal. doping with N element was conducted by simple hydrothermal technique and using urea as the source. doped photocatalysts were characterized DRUVS, XRD, FTIR SEM-EDX instruments. Photocatalysis of through a batch experiment performed evaluation activity light, applying various fractions N-doped, photocatalyst mass, irradiation time, solution pH. research results attributed that has been successfully performed, which shifted absorption into region, allowing it to be active irradiation. photocatalytic removal proceeded photo-oxidation form PbO2. Doping noticeably enhanced photo-catalytic oxidation highest 15 mg/L in 25 mL could reached employing 10%w content mg, 30 min time at pH 8. doped-photocatalyst three times repeatedly used demonstrated significant activity. most effective beneficial condition, producing less toxic handleable PbO2 good repeatable photocatalyst, suggest feasible method remediation on an industrial scale.
